Our approach
How Addienator Works
Turn raw source material into a complete, reviewable course design through four guided stages. Define the scope before drafting, keep the work grounded in your approved material, and review each stage before moving forward.
Grounded from the start
One Source Document Grounds the Whole Project
Upload the source PDFs you already have, such as manuals, policies, and subject matter expert reference material. Addienator establishes one structured Source Document as the foundation for the project, so the objectives, outline, and Design Document are built from the same approved material.

The course-design path
Four connected stages, with your review built in
1
Prepare the source
Upload notes, PDFs, subject matter expert transcripts, or existing documents. Addienator combines your content into a single, structured Source Document that grounds the whole project.
2
Discover and define scope
Confirm the audience, performance need, constraints, delivery format, and duration. Addienator helps you define a focused course scope that fits the time available before detailed drafting begins.
3
Design the course
Develop measurable learning objectives, a clear course outline, and a complete Design Document shaped for Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, or instructor-led training. Review and edit the work at each checkpoint.
4
Extend the project
On Pro and Enterprise, add a summative assessment or an on-the-job training package after the Design Document is complete.
Practical handoff
Review in Addienator or Continue in Word
Edit directly in your browser, or export the final Design Document to Word for stakeholder review.
Pro and Enterprise add more Word exports and let you bring supported edits to objectives, outlines, Design Documents, assessment items, and rubrics back into the project.
Generated drafts remain editable, and you decide when each stage is ready.

Review checkpoints
Clear Decision Points
AI speeds up your first draft, but instructional judgment stays in your hands.
Grounded source tracking
Keep the work connected to the approved source material and project decisions behind it.
Inline editing
Edit learning objectives, outlines, Design Document sections, and assessment items directly in the browser.
Change impact alerts
When you revise an earlier decision, Addienator identifies the downstream work that needs review so outdated content is not treated as current.
Good to know
Common Questions Before You Start
Do I need instructional design experience to use Addienator?
No. Addienator uses plain language and explains each stage as you reach it, so you do not need to know the terminology before you begin.
If you are an instructional designer, the underlying decisions remain visible. You can see the level of thinking required by each objective, review objective alignment in the outline, and edit every draft.
How long does a course take to build?
The first drafts take minutes to generate. The total project time depends on the quality of the source material, how clearly the course is scoped, and how much review your team needs.
A focused course with strong source material moves quickly. If the brief is broad or the source is incomplete, Addienator surfaces those issues during the source and scope stages, before detailed drafting begins.
What if my source material has gaps?
When source material refers to required content that is missing, Addienator records the gap instead of turning it into course content. You can resolve it with the appropriate subject matter expert before detailed drafting begins.
Can I use Addienator with an existing course?
Yes. Course Redesign, available on Pro and Enterprise, reviews the existing course and lets you choose whether to update and extend it or rebuild it from the available material. You approve the direction before rewriting begins.
What do I get at the end?
For a course project, you receive a complete Design Document for Storyline, Rise, or instructor-led training, available as a Microsoft Word file. You also save the source material, decisions, and outputs in a portable Addienator project file that you can reopen later or share with a colleague.
Pro and Enterprise can also produce a Summative Assessment Package, Course Redesign report, or complete on-the-job training program.
